Dress Down Day – Friday the 21st
Logos is sponsoring a paid Dress Down Day, this Friday, the 21st. Proceeds will go to Bonna, who works in the kitchen, and Srey Oun, who is one of our cleaners. Bonna has broken her leg and is currently unable to work, and Srey Oun’s husband was killed in a moto accident a couple weeks ago.
If students want to participate in the dress down, they need to bring 2000 riel to either home room or their elementary classroom on Friday at the start of the day. They may contribute more if they wish.
Senior Transition Seminar
On Friday, February 21st, our senior class will meet in the Logos multipurpose room for our annual Senior Transition Seminar. Mr. Barrett and guest speakers will share practical tips and resources to help students say goodbye well, navigate life as an adult, and prepare for their transition to university. Our special guest speakers are experienced professionals in counseling and university transitioning for third culture kids.
LPA: LPA would like to provide snacks for this event. If you can help out, please contact Aimee Cima (Aimee.Cima@gmail.com). Thank you.
International Trips Cancelled
Due to the recent Coronavirus outbreak, we have decided to cancel all international trips for students through at least the end of March. With a number of countries imposing travel restrictions and health screenings at border crossings, we do not want to risk any of our students getting stuck or quarantined in another country while on a school trip. This will impact our upcoming international MUN trips, as well as our Senior Class Trip. We are sorry for this inconvenience.

Volunteer History Day Judges Needed
We’re looking for volunteer History Day Judges on Thursday, February 27.
The Grades 6, 7, 8, 9 & 10 History students will be diligently working on papers, exhibits, websites, plays, and documentaries revolving around the theme of Breaking Barriers in History for Logos’ Fourth Bi-annual History Day, which will be held at Logos on Thursday, February 27.
We are seeking about 10 adult volunteers to help judge the students’ entries from 8:00 am until 3:00 pm. Judges for some categories do not need to be present for the entire day, so it is possible for volunteers to help out for only a few hours. Judges also do not need to be historical experts; they just need to have a good grasp of the English Language and a willingness to offer their opinions.
If you or someone you know is interested in helping, please contact Mrs. Young at jyoung@asianhope.org.

From the Nurse – Don’t be scammed!
Thank you for your cooperation in working with us to keep our campus safe and healthy during this season of Influenza and CoronaVirus. During this viral outbreak, I have been working with health officials from the CDC and WHO who are actively studying this virus. Right now, there is no indication that it would be transmitted in water, including pool water. They are only identifying transmission as from close human to human contact. We are pleased to report that Logos remains virus free.
Be wary of Scammers!! With every crisis comes con-artist trying to make a buck. There are clinics in town charging $400 for a COVID-19 test. NONE OF THESE CLINICS ARE AUTHORIZED TO DO THIS TEST! The only facility currently able to run this test is Pasteur Lab, and if you meet the case definition, the test is free. The hotline for COVID-19, for reporting and questions, is ‘115’.
